How are the images priced?
Pricing is based on the image size — largest pixel dimension — and it's purely up to the end user to select which image size works best for them. The pricing schedule can be viewed Here.
Are my images safe? What do you do to prevent image theft?
We have put in a number of safeguards to protect images. All medium and large size images are watermarked to prevent the casual "screen grab" theft of images. We also watermark our loupe view to prevent attempts to piece together images. No one using the site has direct access to the original uploaded images, in whole or in part, unless they purchase those images, and even then, access is restricted to the specific resolution purchased.
How is your site being promoted on and offline?
Our primary marketing strategy will rely on natural search engine placement techniques we've used on other sites to draw more than 8000 visitors a day. The site is designed to be optimally search engine friendly, and it is already being indexed by the largest — and most vital — search engines. As our image library grows, so does our search engine presence.
Our natural placement search engine effort will be augmented with public relations and other media efforts targeting end-users.
I like the '# of downloads' feature on another site. Will your site be using a similar visible tracking system?
The statistics on image views and purchases are available in the photographer's Login section. You can get a preview of what's there by logging in as photographer "sierra" with password "stock".
